Theoretical Physics
We are interested in quantum computation and simulation with superconducting qubits, including gate design and surface code error correction. We are especially interested in the design and use of the first generation of quantum computers that do not require error correction. We also develop applications of these quantum computers to problems in atomic and molecular physics, and quantum chemistry.
