PHYS 8990 Research Topics for
- All first-year PhD/MS-seeking graduate students (except MS-NT-seeking students) are required to take two semesters of PHYS 8990, Introduction to Research, also known as Research Rotation. In this course, the student spends one half of each semester doing a research project under the supervision of a faculty member. Each semester the student will choose two topics from the list below. Availability is first-come, first-serve. To secure slots for this course, contact the instructors of your choice from the table below.
- Please do not choose more than one project from any given supervisor and do not choose projects from supervisors with whom you have already worked in an earlier semester.
- You must register for PHYS 8990 at ATHENA after choosing your topics. Furthermore, you must notify Ms. Robin Taylor (taylorr@uga.edu) of which instructors and topics you have chosen after registering for PHYS 8990.
