Research Interests

My research in theoretical physics focuses on the physics of novel phases of matter produced under extreme conditions; quantum fluids and solids, including superconductors, superfluids, and supersolids; dissipative and nonequilibrium quantum systems; and applied mathematical and computational methods. I also have a long-standing interest in STEM education and in broadening access to STEM disciplines. I co-founded the innovative UFTeach program at the University of Florida, designed to inspire and train the next generation of secondary science and math teachers.
